Grant Applications – Deadline August 1

We’re currently accepting grant proposals focused on:

• Youth programming

• Healthcare access

• Volunteerism

• Community support initiatives

If you or your organization has a project idea that aligns with these priorities, we encourage you to reach out! Our team is happy to help you shape your proposal before the August 1 deadline.

The next opportunity for grants through MGCF is our mini-grant cycle. Those are due November 1, and focus on youth led initiatives.

Celebrating Leadership: Jennifer Popielski

Congratulations to Jennifer Popielski, MGCF’s Senior Program Officer, on completing the Leadership Development & Mentoring Program through the Council of Michigan Foundations!

The CMF Leadership Development and Mentoring Program is an opportunity for experienced leaders and those who are new to the field to develop relationships and engage in a community of peer learning. 

This six-month program features one-to-one customized coaching, leadership style and leadership assessments and a curriculum that centers principles of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and explores topics such as emotional intelligence, personal values and career development. The core of the program is centered in the mentoring relationship between experienced and emerging leaders.

We’re proud of Jennifer’s dedication to professional growth and continued impact in our community.

Youth in Action: YAC at Buchanan Pride

Members of our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) spent part of their summer volunteering at the Buchanan Pride event! YAC students helped at the MGCF Pride booth—selling merchandise, engaging with attendees, and representing MGCF with pride and purpose.
