Support Local Businesses During Downtown ConstructionBuchanan, MI – June 2025 – As summer construction reshapes downtown Buchanan, residents and visitors are invited to help support local businesses through the Buchanan Summer Passport program—an exciting initiative designed to keep our community connected, engaged, and thriving through the summer months. How It Works: Pick up your Buchanan Summer Passport at any Summer Concert on the Common or at a participating business. Each time you visit a business and complete the activity or offer listed, you’ll earn a sticker for that square. Once you’ve collected at least 8 stickers, you can: Drop off your passport at Michigan Gateway Community Foundation, 111 Days Avenue, Buchanan, MI by 5 PM on June 30, 2025 OR Email a photo of your completed passport (with your name and contact information on the back) to info@mgcf.org You’ll be entered into a drawing to win fabulous local prizes! Why It Matters: Downtown construction can be disruptive, and this program is a creative way to rally community support for Buchanan’s small businesses. Your participation helps keep doors open, energy high, and the local economy strong. Participating businesses and special offers include: Discounts, freebies, and sweet treats from local favorites like Glendora Bookshop, Union Coffee House, Chunks Ice Cream, Milano’s Pizza, and more.
